CAD Services PDF Print E-mail

mechanicalcad.jpgDAP specialise in fast and convenient CAD services to Design, Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction companies. Outsourced CAD services allow clients to optimise internal resources and focus on core activities such as innovation and creative design.

We work closely with clients to understand their ideas and design concepts whilst using our lower cost CAD providers to enter the required information in the selected software format.

Our CAD offering ranges from 2D drafting through to advanced 3D surface modelling and analysis. We don't mind the mundane projects either, they’re usually easy to hive off and this frees up a company’s creative people to do value-added work.

2D CAD Drafting PDF Print E-mail

We provide 2D CAD drafting services for a range of activities including retail fit outs, as-built drawings, P&ID, mechanical, plumbing, fabrication/ production/ shop drawings, HVAC and patent illustrations.

Outputs range from black and white line drawings for patent applications, instruction illustrations through to refined presentation and marketing images. We also customise templates and drawing standards to match a client’s needs.

We find that the technical standards our clients work to vary in all aspects from standard set ups, dimensions, level of detail required, view orientations, projection angles, to preferred paper size and orientation. For consistency we review and emulate a client’s in-house standards. We follow a process that uses a number of management tools to ensure customisation and quality is maintained.

Such diversity in clients' requirements means we know and operate within a wide range of CAD protocols and systems. This depth of experience makes us well positioned to identify drawing standards and registers to suit any customer’s particular parameters.

3D CAD Modelling PDF Print E-mail

renderings2.jpgLooking for a company with Computer Aided Design (CAD) depth and know-how? Our CAD modelling experience covers retail layouts, automotive components, construction, hydraulic, mechanical and civil engineering, manufacturing, industrial design and heating ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) industries.

Projects have included one off high-end pieces of medical equipment, low volume special purpose mechatronics to mass produced consumer goods. Designs have ranged in physical size from a finger tip, to installations spanning between levels, commercial and retail floor layouts to mapping deep underwater caves.

Inputs for generating the 3D CAD have ranged from hand sketches, 2D manual drawings or 2D CAD files to physical parts. Successful delivery is arrived at by constant interaction with our client so potential problems are detected early.

3D CAD outputs aid subsequent steps such as rapid prototyping, rendering and animation, computer aided engineering (CAE), tooling and production. Other tangible benefits of 3D CAD include improving our client’s development time so the design gets to market quicker with fewer risks.

Rendering & Visualisation PDF Print E-mail

Renderings, concept images, illustrations and animations help convey a design to its intended audience. Typically renderings and visualisation tools are used to assist sales, marketing and the design and development process.

The greatest advantage is experiencing the design vision long before it becomes a reality. Design  iterations are achieved relatively quickly and cost effectively at this stage compared to making changes later in the design process.

Animation PDF Print E-mail

Animation is a wonderful way to win support for a design concept in the boardroom or experience the environment you wish to create whilst it’s still in the planning stages. Walking through the future built environment or seeing how mechanical mechanisms operate, brings a virtual experience that can also enhance the design development and understanding.
