    Design Assist Partners have taken out top honours in the largest competition of its kind in Australia. The RMIT Business Plan Competition is well supported by government and industry alike, and attracts large prizes in terms of cash and in-kind sponsorship.

    Watched by the Lord Mayor John So, the Vice-Chancellor of RMIT University Professor Margaret Gardner presented DAP as the First Prize Winner at a ceremony staged at RMIT Storey Hall.

    The four month long judging process went through three stringent stages, each inspected and ranked by a large contingent of experts, including the panel from The City of Melbourne, Department of Innovation & Regional Development, Sensis Small Business Grant and various industry sponsors.

    The Lord Mayor’s Prize as judged by the City of Melbourne was awarded to Design Assist Partners at the 2005 RMIT Business Plan competition. The award was presented by Lord Mayor John So in October. The competition is the largest of its type in Australia and there were ninety-three entries from new ventures. Cnr So commented that “I am pleased the winning team helps companies compete on CAD costs”.
