On Demand CAD – Short term requirement

Now there is a better solution to help you manage peaks and troughs in your CAD department. The time and money spent qualifying a CAD sub-contractor can be wasted if that person is not available next time the need arises. 

Before starting our first project, we spend time capturing your in-house processes and conventions, and committing them to our system. This means that on future projects this initial familiarisation time is eliminated. We’re ready to go at any time with minimum delay.

Hybrid CAD – Medium term requirement

DAP also caters for companies that need quite a range of CAD skills and resources in the medium term. In this case, resources from our relatively large pool can be utilised to complement any size team to either debottleneck a company’s CAD department or temporarily expand it’s in-house capabilities.

In this case we assign people with the appropriate skill set depending on the CAD platform in use. Sometimes the requirements are for quite a wide range of skills from 2D Drafting through to animation. These various resources will be costed in and then presented as a complete package covering a specific project and bringing with it overall cost advantages.

Integrated CAD – Long term project

For larger, longer term projects ideally a company’s in-house design team runs the project and utilises a specific group of DAP people. The team are dedicated to the project and can provide highly skilled surfacing support through to the more mundane drafting services.

We find that typically our clients are extremely good at design and development, but all too often this work is disrupted when key employees are dragged into performing menial drafting tasks that can be far more efficiently outsourced. Now DAP offers CAD services on a longer term or permanent basis.

Fees are structured on a sliding scale so significant cost reductions are achieved with larger CAD volumes. This service offers control mechanisms which can be customised to link in with a company’s own internal reporting requirements.

Following Through

Once the drawings are complete a company may next require to move on to producing prototypes and ultimately into full production. In both these stages of product development, DAP is able to help.
